The Client
Ostroluxx is a lighting and electrical business. Its range is presented on its live website, ostroluxx.com: architectural, decorative and outdoor lighting — product families such as recessed downlights, track lighting, linear systems and decorative pendants, organised across eleven core categories and more than 100 products. It is a specification-led range, chosen by people who work from technical detail — which is exactly why the printed catalogue that carries the range has to be as organised as the range itself.
The Challenge: What a Product Catalogue Must Do
A product catalogue for a technical range has a harder job than most design work. Its readers — designers, contractors, distributors and project teams — do not browse it for entertainment; they work from it. They need to find the right product family quickly, compare options inside it, and trust that the information in front of them is current, consistent and complete.
For a lighting business, there is a second problem: breadth. Architectural downlights, decorative pendants and outdoor fittings are very different products, sold into very different conversations — and a catalogue that lays each family out differently quickly stops being a tool and becomes a pile of pages. The catalogue has to hold one consistent visual language across the whole range, so the document itself reads as one considered portfolio and the products, not the page design, are what change from section to section.
What Was Delivered
RapidBizz designed the product catalogue for Ostroluxx — the publication that presents its lighting range in a consistent, specification-led layout. The catalogue was produced using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Canva.
The range the catalogue organises is the one the business presents publicly today:
- One catalogue for the whole range. Product families across architectural, decorative and outdoor applications are presented in a single organised publication, rather than scattered across separate sheets and files.
- A specification-led layout. Product information is presented in a consistent structure from family to family, so a reader who learns the layout once can read every section that follows — the way specifiers actually work through a range.
- A consistent visual language. One design system runs across the catalogue, echoing how the brand presents itself publicly: coordinated forms across architectural and decorative applications, with the products as the focus of every spread.
- Produced with professional design tools. The catalogue was designed and produced using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Canva.
The Design in Brief
The catalogue is design work of the kind covered by our branding and graphic design services: a structured layout system, consistent typography and product presentation disciplined enough to hold together across an entire range. It was produced using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Canva — and designed to sit alongside the business’s other materials as one recognisable identity.
Results
We do not publish sales, enquiry or distribution figures for client projects without the client’s own verified data and permission, and none is included here. What can be verified publicly is the deliverable itself: a designed product catalogue presenting Ostroluxx’s lighting range — and the business it serves, live at ostroluxx.com.
